WebTemp is a server based system that provides (remote) control over the temperature and temperatures of a network of computers. Webtemp displays computer temperatures such as CPU temperature, fan speed and voltages measured by various hardware such as SpeedFan or an external monitor. The web server running Webtemp can be located anywhere in the world and web-based users can connect to it remotely through the Internet. With the installation of this software, a user has to enter his/her username and password to access all the server features like controlling fans, clocks and temperature. Once the server is installed, the user need not know how to install any hardware, just one click to install the software.
Webtemp offers a free download with installation. If the user decides to install the software, he/she need not pay for it. However, if you are using a free version of Webtemp and do not want to pay for it, you can also use the software to keep track of your desktop temperatures. The application will store all information about the temperatures in your desktop. This is helpful if you want to keep track of the temperatures in your home, office or when you are away from your computer. This feature will help you check the temperatures before you leave for work in the morning and if your home is always too hot or cold, it will help you avoid unnecessary expenses on air conditioners or heaters.
When using the software, you need not know anything about computers to use it effectively. In fact, the installation of this software is the easiest part and you do not have to read manuals to use the software to its maximum potential. The application works even when the computer is off, and it uses less power than other applications. All you need to do to get started is to plug in a USB cable to your computer and let the Webtemp server run.
